Ocean Jasper is a stone that feels like a hug from the sea.

• Discovered in Madagascar in the late 1990s — Ocean Jasper was found along the remote northwest coast of Madagascar, in areas only accessible at low tide. That means miners had to time their work with the ocean’s rhythm.
• Technically not a true jasper — It’s actually a rare type of orbicular rhyolite, but its swirling, bubbly patterns earned it the name “Ocean Jasper” — and the name stuck.
• Highly collectible and limited — Because the original deposits were so hard to reach and eventually depleted, Ocean Jasper became a prized stone among collectors and crystal lovers. Newer finds are still from Madagascar, but each batch looks a little different.
• Linked to Atlantis lore — Some metaphysical traditions call it “The Atlantis Stone,” believing it holds ancient wisdom from the lost city. Whether or not you buy into that, it’s a fun layer of mystery.
