Hells Canyon Petrified Wood with Sterling Silver Wrap

Having been buried hundreds of thousands, if not millions of years ago, this fragment of wood was petrified from the passage of time. The pattern of the original tree can still be seen on its surface. This piece was found in Hells Canyon, a famous location for finding petrified wood. Millions of years ago a volcano eruption buried the forest located in Hells Canyon, resulting in one of the largest hotspots for petrified wood in the united states.
